How often do you upgrade phones?

I'll use mine until it barely works, and then I'll upgrade to the latest and greatest for that period.

That's what I've always done. I usually keep a phone for 3 or 4 years myself. I try to take care of them.

We tend to keep ours until the battery kicks the bucket, however long that is.

I update my cell phone once every 2 years, every 1 year would be unnecessary, but every 2 years I update it yes or yes, since every 2 years you can always notice very big improvements in the phones

That's me.

Mine acted like it was kicking the bucket a few weeks ago. I deleted some unused apps, offloaded ones I rarely use, and turned it off and on and it's working like new again!

I'm currently using Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. It's still serving me very well which is why I don't have any plans of upgrading it yet. Maybe after this year 2025, I'll change it.
