Is our work/life balance good?

Typically, we work 5 days a week, and we're off two. Some of us work 6 to even 7 days a week. Many work 8 hours while some doe 10, 12, or even 16 hours a day.

Is it too much?

Is our time with our family, friends, and loved ones too little? Especially with the rise of social media?

Would a four day work week fit better and give us a little but more time to be with those we love? Could it save marriages? Could it foster better parenthood?

Or should we remain as it and keep working for the machine 5 days a week. What is it helping that's more important than our families?

I also understand your thinking because I am also an independent, and this is very sad for me because I also work 7 days a week and 10 hours a day.
After finishing my office work, I get very tired and am not in the mood to talk to anyone. By the way, you are also an independent person?

What do you do to have to work that much?

I wish I could share your post with my boss because he is not happy with our 5-day work routine. He always scolded us that you guys are not taking care of my company, or he also wants to increase our working hours.

I am thinking of switching my Job to another It company. Due to this workload, I have lost my girlfriend because I couldn't wish her on her special day on time. Not again. :(

In my last job, I worked with a temp agency and had no vehicle, so it was literally 4 hours of pre-work time.

But then again, that can be used as an advantage. You could goof off on the internet the whole time (on your mobile) or even study things.

Heck I see everyone on their phone everywhere these days. Security, police, fast food workers, Walmart cashiers...

I'll never put my work over my family.

It's only a very stupid person that's going to put their work over their family. If you drop dead right now, the company will replace you in max 48 hours.

It was why I blamed Pep Guardiola the manager of Manchester City for making his wife divorce him as a result of being more invested in his job than his family.
