What's your dream job?
For a very long time it was acting but I doubt I'll ever do that because of anxiety. I would love to get into theater training through and maybe so some theater.

The small town I'm in currently only does musicals so I wouldn't be able to do that unless they want glass to shatter 😂

Why so? How does it impact you being from another country?
Import/exports.

Donald Trump affects New Zealand mostly indirectly, through global politics, economics, and security rather than direct day-to-day policy. Here are the key ways his influence matters to NZ:

---

🌍 Trade & Economy

Protectionism: Trump favoured tariffs and “America First” trade policies. While NZ wasn’t a primary target, global trade tensions (especially US–China) can slow global growth, which affects NZ exports like dairy, meat, and wine.

China factor: NZ trades heavily with China. When US–China relations deteriorate under Trump-style policies, NZ often feels the ripple effects through supply chains and commodity prices.

---

🛡️ Global Security & Alliances

Reduced US multilateral leadership: Trump was sceptical of NATO, the UN, WHO, and other international institutions. NZ relies on a rules-based international order, so weaker US engagement can make the world less predictable.

Indo-Pacific stability: US posture toward China under Trump increased regional tension. NZ, as a Pacific nation, prefers diplomacy and stability rather than escalation.

---

🌱 Climate Change

Climate policy rollback: Trump withdrew the US from the Paris Agreement (later rejoined under Biden). This weakened global climate momentum, which matters to NZ because:

NZ is vulnerable to climate impacts

NZ’s economy and identity are tied to environmental leadership

---

🗳️ Political & Cultural Influence

Populism: Trump helped normalise more aggressive, polarising political styles globally. Similar rhetoric sometimes appears in NZ politics and online discourse, though NZ institutions remain relatively resilient.

Misinformation & media: Trump-era politics amplified conspiracy theories and distrust in institutions, trends that also reach NZ via social media.

---

🤝 NZ–US Relationship

NZ and the US remain friendly partners regardless of who is president.

Under Trump, the relationship was more transactional and less values-based, but not hostile.

Defence cooperation and people-to-people ties continued largely unchanged.
