I thought the first one was better. The second one gave too many Nightmare on Elm Street vibes and I've talked to others who think the same.
Ethan was a great choice for the movie.True, but his spirit did come back so it was interesting to see him use the previous movie's powers.
This is the first one.Never heard of it. What's it about?
This is the first one.
Finney Shaw is a shy but clever 13-year-old boy who's being held in a soundproof basement by a sadistic, masked killer. When a disconnected phone on the wall starts to ring, he soon discovers that he can hear the voices of the murderer's previous victims -- and they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn't happen to Finney.
It helped that I'm a huge fan of Ethan Hawke.Takes a little bit to get into what the movie is trying to do, but once you realize what is going on, turns into something great and jump scare heavy.
Are the victims ghosts then? This is the first one.
