Do you think such people have any good reason to betray the trust which you had in them?

It's not worth it at all. Even your life is not safe with a friend who can't be trusted.

They will easily throw you under the bus once it suits them.

He wished you were dead..like seriously? Damn! Some people are more than just horrible. They choose their own lives to live but still not happy how you choose yours to live.

I will cut off communication with him 100% if I were you.
