No, I don't think that's a good thing because you didn't read the book deeply and you don't know what it says, and most people judge someone in real life that you don't know.

I don't with people, though.

I'm probably missing out on some good books, too.

Yes, I do. You can't have a book with good content killed off with a bad cover.

The book's cover is more like what invites someone to take a look/glance and then proceed to buy and read it.
