Should Congress be paid During Govt. Shutdown?

ABSOLUTLEY NOT!!!

This has been going on way too long and I stand by next to Senator Kennedy (R-LA) and his bill to block paychecks to Congress members during shutdown. If federal workers and citizens have to suffer this, so do the congress members!!!!

Last time I checked, if anyone else just decided to not show up to work, they'd be fired. Too bad we can't just wipe the slate clean with the lot of em and find people willing to work!

If the people don't get paid, the government shouldn't get paid.

We should also be allowed to withhold payments to the government for not keeping America operating.

Honestly, I don't think it makes sense if Congress are paid while the people that needs that money most are not paid. Quite a lot of people are really struggling and that's why they need the money more.
