It might not be considered underrated (at least the games aren't) but I haven't seen it come up like Mario and Final Fantasy and those are the Donkey Kong Country soundtracks.

In the past I would listen to it just on its own.

The underrated game soundtracks that I can remember right now are Ni no Kuni, Grim Fandango, and Vagrant Story. Some of the songs are very emotional, others are nostalgic. I can't seem to get them off my head.
