I was born in mid-80s.

I grew up in the 90s. That really was my favorite decade 90 to 2000. I felt like it was safer to be a kid and ride a bike around town, less violence and terrorism to worry about, etc.

What about you all? What decade was your favorite and why?

It's definitely from the 90's to 2000. Gun violence and cyber crime wasn't as bad as it is now back then. If I can go back to any time in the past, it's in the 90's.

Late 90s and early 2000s were the best for forums!

Facts! It was so good before the era of social media dominance kicked in to destabilise everything forums have built.

Yep. And I really watched it all fall apart, too!

It's happening right before our very eyes every day and it keep getting worst. I don't see any remedy for the situation we are in now.

I'm a child of the 80's, so I certainly miss that period before we were connected to the entire world 24 hours a day. I definitely miss that disconnect that social media destroyed -- back when phones were just phones and not electronic leashes.

Man! I miss my old Nokia phone that didn't text. All I used it for was phone calls and then it stayed in my pocket.

Won't be getting back to those days, now. LOL.

It was the good old days when phones didn't get the better of human face to face communication. You can stay with someone and they will give you 100% attention, not their phones.

Yep.

Just recently upgraded to an iPhone 16 Max Pro. It does about anything for me LOL

That's nice. Did you swap your old one for a new iPhone 16 Pro Max or you outrightly bought a new one?

How much did you pay for it?

I did.

Verizon gave me $1,000 for my old phone. The new phone is $1,200. They adjusted my plan, added the $200 extra to be paid in 36 months and I'm still paying $5.00 less than what I was paying before.

I made out like bandit, LOL. That doesn't happen much LOL.

2000 to 2010 was pretty good, minus 2001 on that horrible September day.

But running forums back then was a lot better than it is today!
